We have had Pearl our Light Sussex chicken for less than a week. She is definitely “top hen” and runs to greet us so she can eat out of our hands. She has laid two large cream coloured eggs already. A lovely girl.

Our Jennifer is a kind of a bird! Not just large and beautiful, but very gentle as well. Only just started laying beautiful light cream/pinkish eggs , two of them double yolks. She is already a big girl ,25weeks old , the largest in the chicken run .

Big and fluffy, grow to become one of my biggest hen. Bought her as I want a good broody mama hen in my flock so I can hatch out some chicks. However she turned out to become a super good layer ( 1 egg every day haven’t had a single rest yet), didn’t went broody at all. Surprise in a good way 🙂
