I was hoping to find a nice black hen today and I wasn’t disappointed. The Sussex rock we brought home is a real black beauty. Lovely glossy feathers and the darkest of eyes. Unfortunately there is no option to attach a photograph, I would have loved to shared her photo to a customers gallery.

Friendly, a little timid, and beautiful. We noticed that she hardly looked like the picture though as she was completely black with no white on. However, she is a lovely hen, highly recommended.

Hi, yes the birds can vary from the pictures, this year we have not had much silver/ white lacing on the birds sometimes it comes through more after their moult.. time will tell.
