Part of our ‘premier range’ these houses are designed and hand Crafted here in Devon. These wooden housing are built from pressure treated tanilised timber with solid plywood floors. Very solid and robust these houses can be moved around easily with the handles at either end.
These houses are suitable for our Point of Lay chickens, bantams / broodies and of course quail.
This houses come flat packed so easy to transport and easy to erect.
In this series of houses we have
The Long Ranger has a 3ftx 2ft house with a extensive 6ft run.
The long ranger have a longer run than the standard giving 6 feet to range in, giving ample area to peck , scratch and indeed ‘run’
With all our houses with attached runs they are made so that the chickens can be housed in them full time or part time depending on your situation.
Sylvia Buckley –
We have had our long ranger for a few years now. Very pleased with it – wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others. The house is easy to access & clean, has a perch (which the birds use properly) and an easy to use pop-hole. The run is a good size, with large access at the top, for cleaning and feeding. It also has a small door at the end where the chickens can be let out to free range. The handles at each end make it easy to move around (best with 2 people, due to the weight, but I can heave it around myself if necessary!)
You might look around at cheaper alternatives, but be assured, you will not get quality compared to these hand-build options. The wood is treated for outdoor use and is sturdy and strong.
Overall an excellent product and good value for money. 🙂
